MEET CHARLES DERMODY, D.D.S. - Lynn, MA

Dr. Charles Dermody has enjoyed over 40 years of providing oral and maxillofacial surgical care to a great number of satisfied patients.  He wouldn’t refuse to retire if he didn’t find his work so rewarding and is not only adept at his surgical skills but prides himself on spending the time to talk with his patients to help them relax and gain their confidence.

Dr Dermody obtained his undergraduate and DDS degrees at  Columbia University, with an internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and residency in oral surgery at New York Medical College. He remains a member of the American Dental Association; American Society of Dental Anesthesia ; the NYS 4th District Dental Society; NYS Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

After 25 years in his successful private practice in Orange County, New York,  Dr Dermody volunteered for work in Ecuador.  Upon his return he travelled to various offices in New York State, Vermont and Massachusetts. He is pleased to start yet another chapter with Lynn and Salem-Peabody Oral Surgery. 

In his free time , Dr Dermody spent many years running ultra marathons with well over 50 hundred-mile events.  He is the proud father of 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren – so far.  He and his wife enjoy living in Nantucket with their 2 dogs and frequent guests.
