Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-rich plasma is most often used during bone grafting procedures and is derived from a sample of your own blood. When spun in a centrifuge, the layers of blood are separated, allowing us to use the layers rich in platelets and growth factors. We mix these by-products into the bone grafting material used during your procedure. This accelerates the healing process after surgery and reduces the time between the procedure and dental implant placement.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin
Platelet-rich fibrin helps the blood to clot and when extracted and spun in a centrifuge, separates into a membrane-like material. The resulting fibrin we use to keep the particles of bone grafting material together. Platelet-rich fibrin is rich in growth factors and helps accelerate natural and healthy healing after bone grafting. This fibrin is commonly used for more complex grafting procedures and full mouth restoration with dental implants.
