Additionally, we have employees that have privileges to work in the local hospitals where our doctors operate. (DAANCE: The Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination)”. It is scary and stressful to need oral and maxillofacial surgery, but we do all we can to help you feel calm, relaxed, and pain-free while you’re under our care. Our Anesthesia Options

dental patient under nitrous oxide sedation

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide, or more commonly “laughing gas”, is an odorless gas breathed through a mask worn over your nose. You’ll feel calm and relaxed, though you are awake to respond to our team. Once the mask is removed, the effects will wear off and you’ll be free to drive yourself home.

dental iv sedation

IV sedation

IV sedation is administered intravenously and provides the highest level of conscious sedation for more anxious patients. You’ll be able to communicate with us during your procedure, but you will most likely not remember any of it once the effects wear off. You’ll need someone to drive you home and you may feel drowsy for a while.

General Anesthesia

General anesthesia is medically induced unconsciousness and is generally administered in hospital settings. Our advanced anesthesia training as oral surgeons, in addition to having a certified nurse anesthetist on staff, allows us to provide this level of anesthesia in our Lynn, MA surgical facility. We’ll monitor your vitals constantly during your procedure to ensure the highest level of safety.

Stress-free surgery is here.
